The Redruth & District Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, chambers in Cornwall and also one of the largest geographically.
According to BritishChambers.org.uk, chambers of commerce form a unique network of businesses of all sizes and sectors, both within the UK and globally. A chamber consists of representatives from businesses and other relevant organizations or individuals who collaborate to support each other and contribute to the prosperity of the town and surrounding area.
As a formally constituted organization, the chamber is recognized and actively participates in committees and groups, allowing us to influence decision-making processes and advocate for the local business community.
We are involved in key local initiatives, including:

• The Redruth Town Team, which evaluates and approves grant funding opportunities for the town, such as successors to the High Street Heritage Action Zone.
• The Redruth Markets Committee, which supports and promotes local market initiatives.
• The Cultural Consortium, which helps drive cultural and creative projects in Redruth.

Our monthly meetings are attended by local Councillors, Council Officers, and Matthew Brown, the office manager for MP Perran Moon, who is also a chamber member.
